The positive parental role helps children to feel capable, self-confident, collaborative and sociable. We do not mean the absence of punishment. We mean the active support provided to the child and participation to his/her daily efforts.
Only when children feel protected and safe can they become linguistically mature, develop psychologically, become sociable, succeed at school and be motivated for their life.
